How to setup a Receiving Attorney on an Account:

In CollectMax a Receiving Attorney is an attorney you have forwarded a case to for them to carry out additional collection options on your behalf. For example, you may need to forward a case to an attorney in another state so he can provide legal services in the debtor's state of residence to further collect the debt. Documents can be generated using the Receiving Attorney information. Many reports in the program can also be sorted by or selected by Receiving Attorney.

To add a Receiving Attorney to an account in your system, retrieve the account. Make sure you move to the Summary tab. All associated claims under this account must be assigned to one Receiving Attorney only.

Using the drop down arrow next to the Receiving Attorney field, find the attorney to whom you wish to assign the case.

If the attorney is not listed, select the add new code icon

instead. Select New to add the Receiving Attorney and their related information to your system. This attorney will now be available for use throughout the system on other accounts. Select the Close button to close the Receiving Attorney Code setup window.

Use the drop down arrow next to Receiving Attorney to select the new code you have defined. Click on the Save button on the left side of the screen to save your selection.
