Type Code

CollectMax allows users to create Type codes to be attached to a debtors account as an additional way to identify the account.  

The Type field is displayed on the Summary Tab of a debtor account.    Using the New Code Button located at right of the Type field will allow the user to add, delete or modify the Type Codes.

Type codes are general purpose claim account descriptors for the type of debt owed.  The codes may be up to six letters and digits.  

 Add New Type Code

Click the button.  

• Enter the code for this type.  The code can be a maximum of 6 characters in length.
• Select a Color.  This type code will appear in color on the debtor summary tab.  There are limited colors, therefore only important type codes should be colorized.
• Enter a Description of this code to be listed on the Summary Screen on the Debtors accounts.  This information can be included on report and in documents.

Click the button to add the new code to the list of type codes for selection.

 Modify An Existing Type Code

Select the code to be changed, Click the button.

Make any changes to the Description.  Users can not change the code section.

Click button to save any changes.

 Delete a Type Code

Select the type code, Click the button.

Click the button to continue with the deletion.  Click the button to discontinue the deletion process.

If the type code is currently assigned to any accounts users must replace them prior to deleting the code.   CollectMax will give users a list of the accounts that must be changed prior to deleting this code.

Click the button to exit this screen.  Once the code(s) have been replaced, repeat the deletion process.

Click the button to print a list of the available Type Code.

A Type Code List Report will be displayed.
